I’m so excited to share that my team and I were featured in Forbes Magazine's December 12, 2024 print issue after winning the national Student Visionaries of the Year campaign for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

Our small but mighty team of 10 was made up primarily of longtime CA Kids Giving Back members, including Lia Bhatia, Layla Bhatia, Leah Miller, Brooke Rowen, Taylor Rowen, and Sophia Milner. I truly could not have done this without them. Together, we raised $650,000 by the campaign deadline, with another $57,000 coming in afterward, bringing our final total to $707,000.

What made the recognition even more surreal was appearing in a special multi-cover issue alongside some incredible leaders, including Eren Ozmen, billionaire entrepreneur and chairwoman of Sierra Nevada Corporation; Josh Harris, billionaire investor and owner of the Philadelphia 76ers and Washington Commanders; and Brian Armstrong, co-founder and CEO of Coinbase.

Seeing our team’s story included in an issue celebrating leaders and changemakers at that level was an incredible honor and a moment I’ll never forget. Most of all, I’m proud that a group of kids who grew up giving back together through CA Kids Giving Back were able to show just how much young people can accomplish as a team.
