Hailey Miller and Lia Bhatia Honored on Good Day LA

CA Kids Giving Back was thrilled to see Hailey Miller and Lia Bhatia featured on Good Day LA after being named the 2024 National Student Visionaries of the Year by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
Hailey and Lia led Team Hope for a Cure, a group of 14 teens who spent seven weeks raising funds and awareness for blood cancer research and patient support. Through sponsorships, donations, letter-writing campaigns, and more than 25 presentations, the team raised $650,000 by the competition’s close—more than any of the 1,100 teams competing nationwide. After the deadline, another $57,000 in donations came through their fundraising pages, bringing Team Hope for a Cure’s final total to an extraordinary $707,000 raised for LLS.
On Good Day LA, Hailey and Lia shared their experience, discussed what inspired their campaign, and celebrated the team and community that supported them.
