LA Kids Giving Back Supports LA Family Housing

LA Kids Giving Back went to Skid Row last summer and saw a HUGE homeless problem in Los Angeles. So we decided to help! On November 1, 2019, we did an event that made care bags for the the homeless and we made 50 of them and then we gave LA Family Housing the care bags and they gave the care bags to the homeless people there. I felt very sad for the homeless people because some of them were living in tents, cars, rvs, or on the street.

We had 18 children participate and had 582 items donated, which gave a monetary impact of $1,219. We went to LA Family Housing for a tour and to help them sort items, and we learned a lot about how we can help the homeless problem.
