The Together We Rise Event

OC Kids Giving Back had an event on June 11th supporting Together We Rise. During this event we decorated and stuffed duffel bags with toys and necessary needs.

Together We Rise is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Their vision is to improve the lives of foster children in America, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. They collaborate with community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.

1200 kids enter foster care every day. Foster kids can't live with their parents for many different reasons. Lots of foster kids carry their belongings in a trash bag that rips a lot, and Together We Rise helps by giving them duffel bags. That is a little about our Together We Rise event.
