We Helped Homeless Babies!

My friend and I volunteered in the babies and toddler room at the OC Rescue Mission, which is a family homeless shelter. We got to feed them bottles and play with them. They were adorable! We couldn't wait to do it since you have to be 10 years old to volunteer, so when we turned 10 we were really happy!

Here is some information about the OC Rescue Mission from their website:

The men, women and children who enter the gates of the Orange County Rescue Mission come from many walks of life and are all wounded in different ways. Some are highly educated, many are survivors of abuse, addiction and abandonment. None of these people ever imagined they’d be homeless and they all need our help. The people who come to us could be your neighbor, your coworker or perhaps a member of your own family. Our goal is to treat each person with respect and dignity. We prayerfully consider how we will implement an Individual Treatment Plan for those who come to us for help.
